Injection molding is the process of feeding thermoplastic material into a heated barrel, mixing it, and then forcing it into a mold. There, it cools, and hardens into the configuration of the mold cavity. This process allows for a light weight, thin walled product that is versatile, strong, and durable. Injection molding products are ideal for many industries including automotive, furniture, sporting goods, material handling applications, toys, PC’s, and computer goods.
Structural foam molding is ideal for load bearing or large part applications. They are low in weight but offer high durability and rigidity. Structural foam molding is an addition to injection molding in that it offers large parts with thick walls. It is very useful in industrial applications because of its superior strength to weight ratio. This material and technology is great for material handling applications, toys, furniture, automotive parts, sporting goods, boating goods, and other custom products.
This forming process, also know as vacuum forming, has very low tooling costs and lead times. It is the process of hanging a sheet of plastic over a mold and heating it until it softens and it can be lowered into the mold. The plastic takes the form of the mold and results in a durable, lightweight and impact resistant product. Products that are made with thermoform molding can usually have several pieces replaced by one part. Also, large parts are easily available with this process.
In this process either molten thermoplastic material is placed in a cooled mold or thermoses material is placed in a heated mold. A two-piece mold is used allowing for a cavity having the shape of the desired mold part. Products made with this process have a high strength to weight ratio with reduced deflection. They also have dimensional consistency.
Corrugated plastic is made from high impact polypropylene resin and is lightweight, durable, and weather resistant. The term refers to a wide range of extruded twinwall plastic sheet products that are ideal for automotive, electronic, and agricultural needs. Also, these products are recyclable and thus very environmentally friendly.
Custom interior dunnage protects valuable parts from damage during transport, assembly and storage. Dunnage is custom
designed and constructed, using a variety of foam and plastic corrugated materials. All dunnage is built with durability in mind protecting what is
required for an endless list of applications.
While offering a highly successful packaging program which reduces costs and shortens lead-times, Reusable Transport Packaging also offers special materials, colors and blank/sheet sizes to meet customer’s needs.
